Touch down!

After 20 hours (10 of which I spent asleep) of cruising at approx 45,000 feet I have arrived in London. We were met by Pat, who swiftly moved us to his flat in Baron Court, which, for lack of a better term, is one fricken sweet pad.

Also went to the local alcamahol consumption area, jetlag + booze + English mustard is a winning combination. Blew my face off.

Nearly off

So we (the family) are off to France, and a wee bit of England, on Thursday. This will be a veritable blitzkreig of crass humour, poor French and even worse French accents on an unsuspecting France. Will the baguette consuming, stripped t-shirt wearing, cafe frequenting people of la belle France survive the experience? That remains to be seen.

In an attempt to maximize the jealousy of my friends, I have created this blog to keep them updated on our enevitable hardships that we will face as we plunge deeper and deeper into the creamy, cheese filled centre of France. Sure, people may dismiss this trip as 'luxurious' or 'enjoyable', but I know different. Heart disease from high levels of French food consumption and muscle deterioration from excessive relaxtion lurk around every corner.

Anyway, I should probably think about maybe packing some stuff.
